Sunset Drive & Photoshoot Around Calgary

Grabbing my Saab keys and the Nikon, I rushed out the door after seeing the sunset developing in the distant West. The Saab had spent two inactive weeks waiting for its ECU to arrive with a Stage 2 tune, so I figured I'd mix a test cruise with some photo opportunities. The first point of attack was the Calgary downtown core, the buildings back lit on this sunny summer day. I made a short stop just off Memorial Drive, first to capture the Saab with a rustic old building. The former is where I came across a beautiful parked Ferrari California, and I had to take a few shots.

Next I proceeded down Memorial Drive, where I came across a parking lot with a view of the city and the drive, so spent some time there snapping away.

Finally my cruise ended with the drive down Memorial Drive to Poppy Plaza. As far as views goes, there were plenty, however not many opportunities were there for a car photo shoot, so I settled for one shot with the historic building there, and another shot in downtown, which was still too busy for a full blown shoot.
